3,4,5 and Pythagoras-a workshop exploring how Pythagoras theorem is useful in today’s world with Dr. Brendan Mc Cann
Why is it that 3,4,5 fits the Pythagoras Theorem i.e. 32 + 42 = 52 but 5,6 & 7 do not? This workshop will look for other consecutive triples that fit Pythagoras. Are there any other (non-consecutive) triples that fit? If so can we find them? Participants will explore the significance of their findings and importantly explore the uses of the 2,500 year old Pythagoras Theorem in today’s world.
