The workshop facilitator,
Doug Buchanan joined the staff of Eagle House School, Sandhurst, Berkshire in 1981. He subsequently spent 29 years teaching there, becoming head of the mathematics department in 1988 and also became deputy head concentrating on the curriculum. He retired from full time teaching in July 2010 but continues as an active inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
