Developing Mathematical Eyes: Building Links Behind The Real World and Maths World
Dr. Terry Maguire, the Head of Lifelong Learning in the Institute of Technology Tallaght, will present an interactive talk on “Developing Mathematical Eyes: Building Links Behind The Real World and Maths World” for this year’s Maths Week secondary school outreach lecture Terry will engage both in-service and pre-service teachers in real world mathematics and suggest ideas for fostering interest among the school community in using their “mathematical eyes”. Terry will present for an hour followed by questions.
