Maths Week Ireland 2011 plans underway

We have really big ambitions for Maths Week 2011. Last year, Maths Week 2010 broke all the records when over 100,000 people participated.

Maths Week Ireland has become the destination of choice for international maths popularisers. This year we will be welcoming back Kjartan Poskitt, Steve Humble, Andrew Jeffrey, Rob Eastaway, Jenny Piggott, Matt Parker, Fernando Blasco, Paco Gomez, Prof Chris Budd, Prof Jose Maria Montesinos and welcoming Charlie Gilderale and Doug Buchanan and more visitors from Spain.

There will be dozens of “native” presenters at participating centres around the island these will include Maths Circus Performer Joanna Williams,  Northern Ireland Space Office’s Rob Hill , NUI Maynooth’s Fiacre O’Cairbre, WIT’s Padraig Kirwan among many others. As the programme of events fills out we will bring you notice of loads more.
