Who wants to be a Maths Millionaire

PowerPoint shows based around the TV program concept were developed where students are required to answer mathematical problems in order to succeed to the next level. All participants had three lifelines: ask the audience, 50-50, and ask a friend. This highly interactive activity proved very popular with the participants.
Maths Trail

This activity requires pupils to complete an orienteering course based upon mathematical activities. Posters are placed around a venue, giving pupils working in groups clues about how to progress in the course. This activity highlights that mathematics does not need to take place in a static environment.

Life-sized Sudoku puzzles where pupils working in groups are encouraged to work together to complete the puzzles. This activity fosters logical thinking, consistency and developing rational conclusions, while cooperating with team members.

Engineering Challenge

Students are invited to build up structures using marshmallows and uncooked spaghetti. Spaghetti may bend, break and the structure may collapse. Teams will define the best strategy to have the highest structure
