GeoGebra is great - try it!

GeoGebra is free to use software which defines algebraic objects geometrically (it draws equations) and geometric objects algebraically (it makes equations from geometry). This is a powerful combination and allows the user terrific insight. The software is easy to learn, intuitive and well supported technically and through user groups. This will be a “show – do” type session, where the workshop leader will show you how to do something then ask you to modify it to do something new, or answer a question. These will cover a variety of mathematical topics that might be met in school maths work. At the end of the workshop you can pick up a variety of labs to work through at home if you wish. The labs have been developed at IT Tallaght and at the Centre for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching and Learning at Limerick University.
